Emma Macleod is a sculptor who plays with the uncanny, the absurd, and the otherworldly, often with a touch of humour. Her work hints at the struggles of being human—feelings of tiredness, being stuck, or finding a way through. Her series Trapped Hands, includes detailed polymer clay hands that push through plaster batts, ranging from unsettling, limp hands to sweary gestures that feel playful and light-hearted.
Materials: Polymer clay, plaster & acrylic paint.
